About Verse Guess

Verse Guess is a free daily puzzle for anyone who loves Scripture, whether you have read the Bible cover to cover or are just getting started. Each day brings one verse to recognize, and a little more of God's Word to remember.

Where the verses come from

All verse text is from the King James Version (1611, standard 1769 text), which is in the public domain in the United States. The daily puzzle starts with the best-known verses of the King James Bible and, over the years, works through all 31,102 of them, from Genesis to Revelation. Practice mode also offers a shorter list of well-known verses for an easier game.

Keeping it free

The game is supported by ads so it can stay free for everyone. If the site earns more than it costs to run, a portion will be donated to charity.
